Managing cinema theaters is one of the major activity areas for Paradise company. For many years we have participated in the process of building a civilized market for cinema theaters in Russia.
In July 1999 Paradise Company opened its first cinema Rolan in the very center of Moscow in Chistye Prudy. Cozy atmosphere, highly varied repertory and state-of-the-art equipment have made the cinema one of the most frequented ones in Moscow.
Rolan offers a variety of films to meet any demand of Moscow’s audience, which is traditionally very demanding.
Rolan cinema operates in several areas: First night performance screen, festival screen, and Russian screen. Its Children’s Club will always offer children and their parents best movies for families.
Within a special Exclusive program Rolan’s guests have a chance of becoming first (and often the only ones) people in Russia to see the latest cinema masterpieces of the world.
It is the reputation of a VIP venue that Rolan has earned in Moscow’s cinema market.
The cinema theater is often sold out and on weekends the average number of visitors is above 80% of the cinema’s capacity.
Each Thursday Rolan organizes press-screenings for Cinema Journalists Club. The following mass media attend these events: Kommersant, Gazeta, Izvestia, Komsomolskaya Pravda, 7 Dnei, Itogi, Kinopark and others along with journalists from central TV and radio channels.
The cinema offers closed VIP first performances of the most bright and long-expected projects that are highly appreciated by cinema and theater stars, famous politicians and businessmen.
In 2000 Paradise Company opened the second of its cinema theaters — a multiplex entitled Five Stars, which was opened in Bakhrushina Street, five minutes’ walk from Paveletskaya subway station. The cinema has 2 halls for 228 seats each and three halls for 140 seats each.
The original and astonishing design of Five Stars in Paveletskaya has revolutionized the common approach to projecting and setting up cinemas in Russia.
Five Stars in Paveletskaya is a truly family cinema. It focuses on little guests. Every day they can attend its Children’s Entertainment Center. Skillful teachers will look after the children as they enjoy our games room, arts workshop and other attractions.
Television has special affection to Five Stars and Rolan cinema theaters because television has its own way of using their original and multifunctional architecture. The stylish interiors of these cinemas are used to host a variety of TV programs. Often they come here to have photo sessions for fashionable glossy magazines.
In summer of 2004 the upgraded Five Stars Birulevo cinema theater opened its doors to welcome all amateurs of cinema.
It is a modern and stylish multiplex cinema hat also offers a broad range of entertaining activities. In addition to 4 cinema halls it offers a bowling facility, an Internet cafe, restaurants and bars.
On January 13, 2005 Paradise Company introduced its new multi-hall cinema theater — Five Stars in Novokuznetskaya, which is situated in Arcadia Trade Center. The cinema offers 6 comfortable cinema halls with the most advanced technical equipment.
In spring of 2005 a two-hall Five Stars cinema theater was opened at a trade center in Kaluga.
In the nearest future we will open the fifth Five Stars multiplex cinema in Moscow on Sevastopolsky Avenue — Five Stars RIO. It will be situated in the new trade center. The cinema will have 6 halls for 180 seats each.
Paradise keeps expanding its network of cinema theaters. In the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, it successfully operates the modern MOSCOW cinema and in Gumri (Leninakan) it operates the renovated and improved October cinema.
The company’s next project will be situated outside Moscow in the town of Schelkovo where best engineers and designers are working hard to turn a regular city cinema theater into an ultramodern six-halls multiplex.
Paradise Company is also planning to implement its projects in the Urals and in Izhevsk in the nearest future. |
